EPOLI – An initiative to create an interactive 3D model of the Jingdaoese capital city of Epoli is serving to bring the simulationist micronation to life.
Originally undertaken in August of this year by Takano Myksos, the project has gathered steam in recent weeks with the release of new updates to the rendering that Myksos hopes will allow the city to become accessible for all micronationalists to download via free software called Unity 3D.
To date, Myksos has rendered the city’s Palace District, its Bath House of Hajemitoi, and a multitude of other buildings. In comments to the Coprieta Standard, Myksos voiced his intention to finish rendering the city centre before he starts work on the interiors of important buildings, including the addition of ‘guides’ who would interact with users and provide information on each building.
The initiative is not just limited to rendering Jingdaoese architect. The micronation’s foreign ministry recently approached its diplomatic partners with the opportunity to have their consulate buildings rendered within Epoli. As of press time, Stormark had taken up the offer, with the exterior of its consulate now slated for development.
